Where are you located?
We operate from our home in Port Kennedy.
How much deposit do you require to book in my shoot?
We generally ask for a booking fee in the form of a 50% deposit to secure your booking date and time. This deposit is not refundable, but may be tranferred to another shoot should we receive at least 24 hours notice prior to your booked date. For shoots that are limited in number such as Christmas sessions, we do ask for payment in full when booking. Please see "deposits and invoices" for further information
How long does a shoot last?
Cake smash shoots usually last between 40 minutes and one hour. However, this is really only a rough guide.
Can I bring a favourite toy/game/book to the shoot?
Of course! This helps capture the true nature of your family and enables us to take lovely natural photos.
Do you supply outfits, bunting or balloons for cake smash shoots?
We do have a range of outfits and bunting that you can choose from, or you are welcome to supply your own. Please let us know what colours/theme you are looking for, and we will do our best to assist you.
We do supply standard air filled balloons for shoots, and you can purchase helium balloons at a small extra cost. You may also wish to bring your own helium balloons. Please discuss with us colours of outfits and balloons that you are supplying so that we can avoid colour clashes.
Do you have photos of your outfit and buntings?
We are planning to add them on to the website very soon. We are currently sending these via email and facebook until this section is added to the site. Message us to discuss your requirements.
Why have you stopped offering portrait and family shoots?
As a working mum with two young boys, I have decided to focus my time and energy on the cake smash shoots for the foreseeable future.
Do you do newborn photography?
Currently we do not offer newborn photo shoots.
Do you offer maternity photography?
At this stage, unfortunately we do not offer maternity photography.
Can I order extra images from a shoot?
Yes, we can provide extra images at a small additional cost to your package.
How long does it take to get the photos back?
We aim to have the photos edited and back to you within a maximum of two weeks. Where possible, we will get the photos back to you quicker, however it does depend on our workload from week to week. We do try to send through a photo or two so that you can use it on your Facebook profile if you wish.
Can I see the photos before they are edited/can I pick the photos I want?
The photographer will choose the best photos taken on the day and send them to you. If there is a particular pose or moment that you want an image of, please let the photographer know. Unfortunately you are unable to pick the photos you want from those taken on the day. We provide all images in .jpg format, and do not provide RAW images.
Can I purchase a gift voucher to give as a gift?
We do offer gift vouchers that you can give to family members, either for the cost of a shoot or for a particular dollar value to be used towards a shoot. Gift vouchers are valid for six (6) months from the date of purchase. Voucher will be emailed in PDF format once your payment is received.
Do you use my photos on Facebook or the website?
The copyright for the photos remains with Jolly Snaps Kids' Photography. As such we may use your photos to advertise our services on Facebook, the website, or by other means. However, we do resepect your privacy, so if there is a reason you do not wish your photos to be used in this manner, please let us know.
